Embedded Software / Firmware Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Develop embedded software and firmware solutions for complex customer requirements.
• Contribute to research, ideation, prototyping, experimentation, derisking, and full product development.
• Work in a small multidisciplinary engineering team across software, FPGA, electronics, mechanical, and RF technologies.
• Build innovative technologies for critical defense applications and secure information exchange.
• Help define and construct solutions to challenging customer problems.

Requirements

• Experience with one or more of C/C++, Rust, Python, Embedded Linux, AI/ML, or bare-metal MCU development.
• Degree in an engineering, mathematical, or science-based subject, or equivalent experience.
• Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain DV security clearance after obtaining SC clearance.
• Must be a British citizen and have been resident in the UK for the past 5 years for SC clearance and 10 years for DV clearance.

Nice to have

• Full-stack embedded software experience spanning device drivers, GUIs, and web applications.
• FPGA development with Vivado, Vitis, or ModelSim, and digital signal processing.
• Electronic, schematic, PCB, or mechanical design experience.
• Radio technologies such as software-defined radios, GNU Radio, or RFNoC.
• Experience managing information security and complying with government regulations.
