Senior Accountant

Location: Berlin, Germany; remote work format

What you will do

• Coordinate accounting activities, document flow, and reporting with the external accounting firm.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Review accounting postings, VAT returns, payroll data, and statutory financial statements.
• Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, payment processes, and cash flow monitoring.
• Develop accounting policies and improve internal controls and DATEV workflows under German GAAP.
• Handle inventory, production, construction-project, cost-centre, and project-related accounting, while preparing management reports and supporting audits.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional accounting experience with an independent and responsible approach.
• Strong knowledge of German accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Experience with DATEV and inventory accounting.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Fluency in German and English required.
