TL;DR
Finance Data Lead (Power BI): Building and governing the data foundation for financial planning, reporting, and analysis across Anaplan, Power BI, the data warehouse, and semantic models with an accent on dimensional modeling, data quality, and standardized financial definitions. Focus on designing scalable data architecture, optimizing large-dataset queries, and bridging Finance, IT, and BI development.

Location: Lund, Sweden; based at the Axis headquarters

What you will do

  • Design and develop data models, reliable data flows, and standardized definitions across the financial BI ecosystem.
  • Own data quality and data governance processes, principles, and improvement initiatives.
  • Set technical guidelines for data modeling and information handling while maintaining and improving performance.
  • Advise Finance BI Developers on semantic models and reporting solutions and quality-assure them from a data perspective.
  • Bridge Finance and central IT, collaborating with the Product Owner and other system owners to prioritize data initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or Finance.
  • Experience in data modeling, data architecture, BI, or data warehousing, preferably supporting Finance or FP&A.
  • Strong knowledge of dimensional data modeling and semantic models for analytics and planning.
  • Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Power BI and experience with modern data warehouses and transformation frameworks; Axis uses ClickHouse and dbt.
  • Ability to write complex queries, optimize performance for large datasets, and translate business needs into scalable data architecture.

Nice to have

  • Experience with planning platforms such as Anaplan.
  • Previous experience supporting Finance or FP&A functions.
