Location: Auckland City Campus, Auckland, New Zealand. Permanent full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, with flexible working arrangements including working from home and flexible hours.
Salary: NZ$118,000–NZ$128,000 per year, negotiable depending on skills and experience.

What you will do
- Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects, trusts, foundations, and corporate partners.
- Build relationships with donors, faculty leadership, researchers, and university stakeholders.
- Develop donor engagement plans, funding proposals, and stewardship activities.
- Work with the Dean and senior leaders to prioritise prospects and align fundraising with faculty priorities.
- Support faculty fundraising strategies, plans, and performance measures.
- Coordinate donor engagement and fundraising initiatives with Alumni Relations and Development colleagues.
Requirements
- Demonstrated success securing major gifts, philanthropic investment, or high-value commercial partnerships.
- Experience managing relationships with high-net-worth individuals, trusts, foundations, corporate partners, or strategic stakeholders.
- Experience identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding supporters through a structured relationship-management process.
- Exceptional relationship-building, influencing, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Commercial acumen and experience developing proposals and achieving revenue or fundraising targets.
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience, with an interest in medical research and health education.
