Senior Software Engineer (Backend)

Location: Remote within Brazil; residence required in São Paulo, Campinas, São José dos Campos, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Curitiba, or Florianópolis.

Base salary: R$285K–R$400K, plus equity.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain robust backend services, APIs, and systems.
• Architect and deliver new services in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Develop large-scale product features and capabilities that provide customer value.
• Coordinate with engineering and product teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Create and maintain user-facing technical documentation.
• Help shape engineering culture and maintain high engineering standards.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in web backend software engineering.
• Proven experience delivering high-quality production services and systems.
• Proficiency in English for casual communication and formal reports.
• Experience in banking or fintech, with knowledge of fraud prevention or compliance.
• Strong customer focus and empathy for users.
• Additional data engineering experience is highly desirable.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Golang.
• Experience with data pipelines and relevant financial crime domains.
