Formulations Technician I

Location: Rockville, MD 20850, United States; onsite in a research laboratory and vivarium

Salary: $22.00–$26.00 per hour

What you will do

• Receive, distribute, and disposition test compounds, vehicles, and reagents.
• Formulate test compounds, vehicles, and reagents.
• Record study data in the laboratory information management system.
• Read and follow study protocols.
• Prepare studies and organize sample tubes, supplies, and laboratory areas.
• Work a Sunday–Thursday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, pharmacology, or a related field preferred.
• One year of related experience in a contract research organization, hospital, compounding pharmacy, or similar research setting preferred.
• Strong computer skills, organization, attention to detail, and adherence to procedures.
• Ability to perform manual and repetitive work, including sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work onsite in Rockville, Maryland, with routine exposure to odors, chemicals, sharps, blood, body fluids, and tissue.
