Senior Java Test Automation Engineer (Java/REST APIs): Building and maintaining automated test suites for large-scale microservices and API-integrated e-commerce systems with an accent on backend automation, integration testing, and CI/CD quality practices. Focus on designing scalable test frameworks, validating complex cross-platform integrations, analyzing defects and logs, and improving QA standards for frequent releases.
Location: Hybrid work in Poznań or Warszawa, Poland, with 1–2 days in the office per week
Salary: 1,100–1,360 PLN per day on a B2B contract

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for backend and microservices-based applications.
- Create test scenarios and cases from business and technical requirements.
- Perform manual, regression, integration, exploratory, and REST API testing.
- Analyze test results and logs, report defects, identify quality risks, and propose improvements.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA engineers during sprint planning, refinements, and releases.
- Support CI/CD testing pipelines and contribute to QA best practices across the team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer or Test Automation Engineer, including commercial backend automation experience.
- Strong Java knowledge and hands-on experience with JUnit, TestNG, REST Assured, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with REST API testing, Postman, SQL, Git, microservices architecture, and Agile/Scrum environments.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable test automation code and troubleshoot issues using logs.
- English at B2 level or higher.
- Availability for hybrid work in Poznań or Warszawa, with 1–2 office days per week.
Nice to have
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Understanding of contract testing and service virtualization.
- Experience with e-commerce or high-traffic platforms.
