Product Designer, Design Systems (AI)

Location: Remote in Spain; Barcelona office option is available. Remote employees are expected to work from home regularly, while office-assigned employees spend at least 50% of each month in the local office or with users.

Annual salary: €56,200–€84,400 in the primary location. The range may vary by location and will be narrowed based on experience, qualifications, and specific location.

What you will do

• Design and refine user interface components, patterns, and foundations for Stripe products.
• Create coherent interfaces across interaction states, themes, and responsive layouts.
• Partner with front-end engineers to understand constraints and bring designs into production.
• Contribute to Figma libraries, prototypes, specifications, documentation, and examples.
• Gather feedback from product teams, share work, and iterate on design solutions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience designing digital products.
• A portfolio demonstrating strong visual design craft.
• Experience using or contributing to a design system or component library.
• Experience working with front-end engineers and understanding components, states, and responsive behavior.
• Experience using artificial intelligence tools in day-to-day design work, including familiarity with large language models, agents, and reusable workflows.
• For the remote setup, candidates must be located in Spain; Stripe does not cover relocation to a remote location.

Nice to have

• Experience creating or maintaining shared user interface components or design libraries.
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Experience using AI and prototyping tools to build and evaluate interactive interfaces.
• Experience designing native mobile interfaces for iOS or Android.
