Data Infra (AI)

Location: London, United Kingdom or Zurich, Switzerland. Employees living within 25 miles of a designated Microsoft office outside the U.S. are expected to work from that office at least four days per week from January 26, 2026, subject to local law.

Salary: £93,500–£161,800 per year base pay in the United Kingdom.

What you will do

• Design and develop pipelines ingesting large volumes of multimodal training data, including text, audio, images, and video.
• Own and maintain critical data infrastructure using Spark, Ray, vector databases, and related technologies.
• Build infrastructure capable of storing and processing petabytes of data for AI model training.
• Partner with pretraining and post-training teams to improve data recipes through rigorous experimentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, software engineering, computer engineering, or a related field with 6+ years of relevant experience; or a master’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent experience.
• Relevant experience may include data engineering, data modeling, software development, data science, or business analytics.
• Passion for the role of data in large-scale AI model training.
• High degree of expertise, strong attention to detail, proactive attitude, and ability to manage shifting priorities.

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
