Senior Data Science Manager (Developer Platform)

Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States

Salary: $342,000–$380,000 annual base salary, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage, mentor, and develop Data Scientists working across identity, signals, and developer tools.
• Own the data science vision and roadmap for the Developer Platform and shape company strategy.
• Develop developer-facing data products, metric definitions, benchmarking methods, and insight-quality standards.
• Partner with Ads, Engagement, Growth, Product, Engineering, and Business Development to measure platform adoption, integration health, growth, and signal value.
• Design joint studies with game developers and their data science teams to demonstrate business value.
• Partner with Data Engineering, Product, and Legal on data governance, documentation, discoverability, privacy, and responsible use.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in applied data science and advanced analytics.
• 3+ years of experience managing and developing Data Science teams.
• Strong expertise in experimentation and causal inference, including quasi-experimental methods such as propensity matching, synthetic controls, and difference-in-differences.
• Experience designing interpretable metrics and measurement systems for new or fast-evolving products.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one data programming language: Python or R.
• Ability to communicate complex technical work to executives, engineers, product leaders, and external partners.

Nice to have

• Experience with gaming, game platforms, or developer-facing B2B2C products.
• Experience building customer-facing analytics dashboards, benchmarking tools, or measurement offerings.
• Familiarity with advertising signal ecosystems, identity resolution, targeting, measurement, lookalike modeling, forecasting, personalization, or ML applications.
• Experience with BigQuery, very large datasets, and BI tools such as Hex, Mode, Looker, or Tableau.
• Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and responsible data use.
