Production Engineering Specialist (MES/AI)

Location: Xiamen, Fujian, China; onsite

What you will do

• Optimize assembly methods, production processes, equipment performance, cycle times, and materials to improve quality, efficiency, cost, and safety.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and interfaces for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Logistics Execution Systems (LES).
• Develop modules for work order management, production reporting, quality control, material traceability, equipment data collection, and production reports.
• Integrate and debug MES connections with ERP, WMS, SCADA, and on-site PLC equipment using industrial communication protocols.
• Lead large-scale smart manufacturing projects, coordinating tasks, resources, schedules, technical reviews, and issue resolution.
• Develop AI and machine learning applications for intelligent early warning, quality inspection, and production process optimization.

Requirements

• Strong Java and C#/.NET development skills, with proficiency in MySQL, SQL Server, and complex SQL optimization.
• Experience with WebService, HTTP, OPC UA, equipment data collection, and industrial system integration.
• Knowledge of MES processes including production traceability, process management, production reporting, and quality inspection.
• Experience planning and delivering large-scale projects, coordinating multiple parties, and managing technical reviews.
• Hands-on experience developing AI and machine learning applications with mainstream deep learning frameworks.
• Ability to design integrations between AI algorithms and MES business systems.

Nice to have

• MES and industrial AI project experience in equipment manufacturing or the electrical and electronics industries.
