Data Platform Analytics Architect (Data Lakehouse)

Location: Remote/Teleworker within the United States; salary information applies to Illinois, Michigan, North Carolina, and Texas.

Salary: USD 161,000–378,000 annual total target compensation, consisting of 80% base salary and 20% target-level sales compensation.

What you will do

• Lead customer-facing architecture discussions based on data, application, workload, and analytics requirements.
• Design scalable analytics, data lake, and data Lakehouse architectures covering ingestion, transformation, storage, querying, governance, and consumption.
• Assess traditional enterprise data warehouses and develop phased modernization, migration, consolidation, or retention strategies.
• Architect and size enterprise analytics environments using data volumes, ingest rates, retention, SLAs, concurrency, and performance requirements.
• Develop solutions around Vertica, SingleStore, Cloudera, Splunk, Elastic, and the X10K data platform.
• Partner with customers, sales, product management, engineering, solution teams, and software partners to create reference architectures and repeatable go-to-market solutions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in technical presales, solutions architecture, enterprise architecture, database architecture, or data engineering.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise data warehouses, analytical databases, data lakes, Data Lakehouse architectures, distributed data platforms, object storage, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience designing or supporting large-scale analytics environments and evaluating ingestion, query processing, concurrency, partitioning, performance, and capacity scaling.
• Experience with at least one enterprise analytics platform such as Vertica, SingleStore, Cloudera, Teradata, or Oracle/Exadata.
• Ability to lead customer discovery, map end-to-end data flows, evaluate modernization strategies, and translate business and technical requirements into solution architectures.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Vertica, SingleStore, Cloudera, Splunk, or Elastic.
• Experience with Teradata or Oracle Exadata modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of Apache Iceberg, Spark, Trino, modern data catalogs, cloud and hybrid analytics platforms.
• Experience developing TCO or business cases for database and data platform modernization.
• Experience influencing product strategy or working with strategic ISVs and Product Management.
