Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Location: San Mateo, California, United States. Office-based roles are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday.

Salary: $251,090–$326,060 USD annual base pay.

What you will do

• Define and implement security strategy and controls across hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure.
• Build services and tooling that make secure deployment paths easier for developers.
• Architect scalable systems for cloud posture monitoring and self-healing security baselines.
• Partner with infrastructure teams to apply threat modeling and secure-by-default patterns.
• Deploy organizational security guardrails and optimize detections for the platform environment.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Professional experience writing and maintaining code in Python, Golang, C#, or another programming language.
• Experience with automation, infrastructure as code, system hardening, container security, cloud security policy, and observability.
• Deep understanding of cloud service architecture and cloud security concepts.
• Familiarity with container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes and with network security practices.
• For office-based roles, availability to work onsite in San Mateo Tuesday through Thursday is required.
