Credentialed Tax Expert

Location: Remote - United States; must reside in the United States

Salary: $24.63–$36.72 per hour, depending on work location, skills, and experience. Eligible for cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Provide tax advice and expert guidance to TurboTax customers.
• Prepare and sign full-service federal and state tax returns.
• Perform tax calculations and answer product and software questions.
• Research government and professional resources to deliver accurate answers in plain language.
• Troubleshoot tax preparation inquiries, document customer interactions, and work toward KPI goals.
• Participate in pilot testing, experience validation, training, and cross-training activities.

Requirements

• Must reside in the United States.
• Active, unrestricted EA, CPA, or practicing attorney credential with strong tax preparation experience and extensive tax law knowledge.
• At least two years of recent experience preparing federal and state individual 1040 returns for 30 or more clients per season using commercial tax software.
• Active PTIN and any required state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
• Working knowledge of Circular 230 and strong computer and software skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service, research, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills; availability for at least 20 hours per week.
