Intern - Anatomic Pathology

Location: SIMZ Pudong, Shanghai, China; full-time onsite

What you will do

• Perform basic necropsy and histology duties on laboratory animals according to SOPs, GLPs, and regulatory guidelines.
• Trim and bag wet tissues and embed tissues into paraffin.
• Prepare stock solutions and set up study supplies as needed.
• Monitor animal health and welfare and help maintain facilities for AAALAC compliance.
• Recognize deviations from expected results, document data accurately, and take appropriate action.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while collaborating with the pathology team.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Life Sciences, Histology, Laboratory Animal Technology, or Veterinary Technology.
• Relevant students at any academic level may apply; final-year students graduating in July 2027 are preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organization, multitasking, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt techniques to new procedures or specific study needs.
• 20-week, full-time onsite internship in Shanghai, China, running from December to May 2027.

• CET-4 qualification.
