Site Reliability Engineer (Payments)

Location: Hybrid, Bucharest, Romania

What you will do

• Manage and resolve incidents, problems, changes, escalations, ITIL processes, and service requests.
• Monitor production applications and implement health checks and monitoring for production environments.
• Analyze technical incidents, determine business impact, estimate resolution times, and involve third-level support when required.
• Maintain an end-to-end view of SEPA and Instant Payment processing chains.
• Coordinate with suppliers, clients, processing partners, and internal divisions on service optimization and new product introductions.
• Review production changes, assess their impact, examine functional and non-functional test reports, and challenge proposed implementations.

Requirements

• Mandatory expertise in SEPA, Instant Payments, and Cross Border Payments.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, UNIX/Linux, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Grafana, scripting, and production monitoring tools such as Dynatrace.
• Knowledge of XML/XSD, REST and SOAP integrations, message-based mechanisms, encryption, authentication, and authorization models.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, JIRA, Confluence, GitHub, ITIL processes, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, microservices, and software security.
• Reasonable knowledge of Java 8 or above and experience with one-click deployment.
• Fluent English and German language skills are required.
