TL;DR
SRE Expert (Site Reliability Engineering): Improving reliability for wholesale banking applications and critical business services with an accent on SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, observability, and incident analysis. Focus on reducing operational toil, guiding reliability practices across tribes, analyzing systemic causes, and driving structural improvements through post-mortems and automation.
Location: Bucharest, Romania — Dacia One office

What you will do
- Lead SRE practices and implementations for the FMGT tribe and CBSM team.
- Define, track, and enforce SLOs, SLIs, and error budget policies for development teams and critical business services.
- Analyze workflows and operational data to reduce toil, automate operations, and remove systemic inefficiencies.
- Support root-cause analyses and Swiss Cheese post-mortems, including follow-up on preventative improvement actions.
- Provide hands-on guidance on reliability topics, observability, incident management, and engineering practices.
- Mentor and coach SREs while influencing engineering teams and senior stakeholders without direct authority.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering, SRE, or technical product management, with strong SDLC knowledge.
- Strong expertise in SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, reliability reporting, and continuous improvement frameworks.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting tools such as Prometheus, ELK, Grafana, or similar.
- Knowledge of CI/CD standards, preferably Azure DevOps, monolithic application landscapes, containers, cloud tooling, and IT security principles.
- Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, mentoring, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work with engineering teams, SRE specialists, consumers, and senior stakeholders across a distributed organization.
Nice to have
- Experience implementing ITIL, Agile, or DevOps practices at scale.
- Cloud Architecture or Agile Project Management certification.
- Previous experience as a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager.
- Knowledge of OpenTelemetry.
