TL;DR
SRE Expert (Site Reliability Engineering): Guiding the FMGT tribe and CBSM team in improving service reliability with an accent on SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, observability, and incident analysis. Focus on reducing operational toil, identifying systemic causes through incident and problem data, supporting root-cause analysis, and mentoring engineers across reliability practices.

Location: Bucharest, Romania; place of work at the hirify.global office.

What you will do

  • Guide the FMGT tribe and CBSM team in achieving Site Reliability Engineering and service reliability objectives.
  • Define, track, and govern Service Level Objectives, Service Level Indicators, and error budgets.
  • Analyze workflows and reduce operational toil through automation and process improvement.
  • Support root-cause analysis, Swiss Cheese post-mortems, incident, problem, and change data analysis.
  • Provide hands-on reliability support to application teams and mentor SREs within the tribe.
  • Contribute to SRE capabilities, global guilds, and the E&R organization.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in software engineering, SRE, or technical product management with strong SDLC knowledge.
  • Strong expertise in SLOs, SLIs, error budget policies, and continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting tools such as Prometheus, ELK, and Grafana.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD standards, preferably Azure DevOps, IT security principles, containers, and cloud tooling.
  • Experience with monolithic application landscapes and reliability practices.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, mentoring, and influencing skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience implementing ITIL, Agile, or DevOps practices at scale.
  • Cloud Architecture or Agile Project Management certification.
  • Previous experience as a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager.
  • Knowledge of OpenTelemetry.
