Software Engineer II, Data Lakehouse

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid work

Salary: CA$125,280–CA$235,736 per year at the start of employment. On-target earnings of CA$139,200–CA$258,000 per year may include bonus or commission; equity may also be provided.

What you will do

• Build foundational infrastructure and tools for storing, querying, and analyzing data at petabyte scale.
• Manage high-volume event data across Snowflake, ClickHouse, Databricks, and related data platforms.
• Own features end-to-end, including backend services and front-end experiences.
• Deliver data capabilities used by internal teams and external customers.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of full-stack software development experience, ideally around 2–4 years.
• Strong understanding of software design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience working effectively in a team with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn the technologies needed to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience building software at scale and handling high volumes of data and traffic.
• Experience with Python, Snowflake, ClickHouse, microservice architecture, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with modern data warehousing, business intelligence, and analytics.
• Previous internship or work experience at a high-quality technology company.
