What you will do

• Lead localization and translation initiatives for large-scale e-commerce platforms and travel services in Traditional Chinese for Hong Kong.
• Establish linguistic guidelines, style guides, and glossaries to maintain brand voice and translation quality.
• Perform professional in-house translations, editing, and proofreading for critical business lines.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and digital marketing teams on feature rollouts for the Hong Kong market.
• Manage end-to-end translation workflows, timelines, and potential coordination with external vendors or junior linguists.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of full-time, in-house experience as a professional translator.
• Native-level fluency in Traditional Chinese for Hong Kong.
• Professional business fluency in English.
• Degree in translation, English linguistics, or a closely related language field is highly preferred.
• Experience in or strong understanding of e-commerce, technology, or travel and hospitality.
• Ability to work in Tokyo, Japan; visa sponsorship and relocation support are available if applicable.
