Head of Operational Resilience & Business Services (Financial Services)

What you will do

• Lead the Business Support Team, Local IT Support, and Facilities Management function, including people management, budgets, resources, and succession planning.
• Oversee business support services, executive and personal assistant coverage, reception operations, workplace services, vendors, and office infrastructure.
• Act as the local Operational Resilience Responsible and coordinate Business Continuity Management, IT, Information Security, Third-Party Risk Management, and Data Management activities.
• Identify and govern local Critical Functions and Disruption Tolerances, maintaining resilience documentation and coordinating annual reviews.
• Develop multi-year resilience testing programmes, coordinate recovery and crisis exercises, and drive remediation from testing, incidents, assessments, and audits.
• Represent the branch in local and Group governance forums, oversee outsourcing reporting, coordinate cyber security activities, and support information security and data protection compliance.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, including management responsibility, in operational resilience, operational risk, outsourcing, business continuity, or a related discipline.
• Experience in a regulated financial services environment and in managing multidisciplinary operational teams.
• Strong knowledge of operational resilience frameworks, regulatory expectations, business continuity, crisis management, and resilience testing.
• Demonstrable experience in third-party risk management, outsourcing governance, supplier management, budgets, and service delivery functions.
• Strong understanding of cyber security and information security principles, including data protection requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation, coaching, organizational, and decision-making skills, with experience presenting to senior governance forums.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ServiceNow or similar governance and workflow management tools.
• Previous experience managing budgets, suppliers, and operational service delivery functions.
