Workday HCM Data Conversion Lead (PeopleSoft)

Location: United States - Remote

Salary: $165,000–$190,000 USD per year, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end HCM data conversion workstream for a PeopleSoft-to-Workday ERP modernization.
• Plan scope, sequencing, estimates, milestones, dependencies, quality standards, and delivery activities.
• Direct data conversion developers, review deliverables, resolve blockers, and maintain consistent methods and documentation.
• Lead discovery, requirements, data profiling, extraction, mapping, transformation, cleansing, reconciliation, and validation.
• Coordinate Workday load cycles, mock conversions, testing, defect remediation, cutover, and final validation.
• Serve as the primary client contact and collaborate with functional, integration, reporting, security, testing, and change teams.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States; the role is remote.
• 8+ years of ERP data conversion experience, including leadership of a conversion workstream or major conversion effort.
• Deep hands-on experience with PeopleSoft HCM data structures, tables, extraction methods, and conversion tools across multiple HCM modules.
• Required experience supporting PeopleSoft-to-Workday data conversions and understanding Workday data conversion and load processes.
• Advanced SQL and PeopleTools skills, including Application Designer; Integration Broker knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Strong expertise in data profiling, mapping, modeling, cleansing, transformation, reconciliation, validation, data quality, stakeholder communication, and technical team leadership.

Nice to have

• Workday HCM conversion experience in higher education.
• Experience across PeopleSoft HCM domains such as Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time and Labor, Recruiting, or Talent.
• Workday or PeopleSoft certification.
• Experience with full-cycle ERP implementations, including mock conversions, cutover, go-live, and post-production stabilization.
