Senior Manager, EU Public Policy

Location: Brussels, Belgium; office attendance expected 4+ days per week under hirify.global’s “default together” approach

What you will do

• Lead designated EU policy and regulatory workstreams and support hirify.global’s broader EU public policy strategy.
• Monitor and analyse EU legislative and regulatory developments, including proposed legislation, amendments, and implementing measures.
• Develop policy positions, advocacy strategies, consultation responses, position papers, talking points, and executive briefings.
• Build relationships with EU officials, regulators, Member State representatives, NGOs, trade associations, think tanks, and other stakeholders.
• Work cross-functionally with Legal, Product, Platform Integrity, Communications, and Business teams.
• Advise senior stakeholders and coordinate EU-level advocacy with public policy colleagues across Europe.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 7+ years of experience in EU public policy, government affairs, regulatory affairs, EU institutions, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of EU institutions, legislative and regulatory processes, and the technology policy landscape.
• Excellent legislative analysis, policy drafting, communication, stakeholder engagement, and political judgement skills.
• Fluency in English and French required.
• Ability to manage multiple policy workstreams and collaborate across functions in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

Nice to have

• Significant experience working in Brussels and engaging with EU institutions.
• Experience in technology and digital policy, including privacy, online safety, AI, or consumer policy.
• Previous experience in an EU institution, national government, or regulatory body.
• Professional proficiency in German or another EU language.
