Software Team Manager (IoT)

What you will do

• Manage a software engineering team through resource planning, performance management, and people management.
• Lead recruitment, retention, training, and talent development initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance and promote modern software development practices, technology standardization, and innovation.
• Direct Agile software development activities in collaboration with Project Management and Product Owners.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication, collaboration, and technical decision-making.
• Support the development of web-based SaaS applications that collect, analyse, and visualise data from IoT devices monitoring the electrical grid.

Requirements

• At least four years of experience leading software engineering teams.
• Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills.
• Broad experience with modern web, cloud-native technologies, frameworks, and platforms.
• Experience building SaaS applications and a background in software development.
• Fluent English, both written and verbal.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Programming or scripting experience with Python, .NET, TypeScript, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Datadog, or New Relic.
• Familiarity with networking concepts, security protocols, and identity management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience working in collaborative, fast-paced environments.
