What you will do
- Build and grow an engineering team, including hiring key technical roles.
- Lead, mentor and develop engineers through feedback, performance management and professional growth.
- Define technical direction, architecture and engineering standards while remaining hands-on in the codebase.
- Drive AI-assisted development, AI agents and automation across engineering workflows.
- Collaborate with Product and UX to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Ensure reliable delivery, operational ownership and technical alignment across engineering teams and locations.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading and developing engineering teams, ideally in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong recent hands-on experience with Next.js, TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
- Practical experience applying AI in software engineering, including building or implementing AI agents and automation.
- Experience deploying, monitoring and maintaining web applications.
- Experience working in e-commerce environments.
- Strong software architecture, prioritisation, stakeholder management and communication skills.
