TL;DR
Software Application Development Engineer (Fullstack): Building and enhancing full-stack software applications for end users and partner technologies with an accent on reliable development, automated testing, secure coding, and deployment. Focus on implementing frontend and backend features, integrating CI/CD workflows, completing SDL security tasks, and validating applications through unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Location: Penang, Malaysia; hybrid work model with time split between the assigned site and off-site work.

What you will do
- Design, develop, test, and debug full-stack software applications across frontend and backend components.
- Analyze user stories and write functional and test code.
- Automate build and deployment processes and perform unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Apply secure coding practices, software compliance guidelines, and SDL security requirements.
- Document installation and maintenance procedures with technical writers.
- Interact with end users to define system requirements and implement application modifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or a relevant field with more than two years of hands-on software development experience, or a relevant master's degree with no prior professional experience.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming with Python and C#.
- Knowledge of databases, SQL, stored procedures, cloud technologies, big data, and data engineering.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools and techniques.
- Basic proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of unit testing, integration testing, and test automation methodologies.
Nice to have
- 0–1 years of experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of C++, ASP.NET, or Angular.
- Familiarity with Azure, Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, design patterns, and full-stack frameworks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
