AI/ML Engineering Intern (AI/ML): Building production-grade AI systems, ML platform infrastructure, agentic workflows, and natural-language interfaces for governed structured and unstructured data with an accent on LLMs, RAG pipelines, multimodal processing, and scalable cloud systems. Focus on evaluating groundedness and safety, optimizing LLM throughput, developing SQL-generation agents, and integrating generative AI into database queries.
Location: Menlo Park, California, or Bellevue, Washington, United States

What you will do
- Build production-grade AI systems, including agents, RAG pipelines, and LLM integrations.
- Develop ML platform infrastructure for feature stores, MLOps, and optimized runtimes.
- Create AI systems that reason over governed data and support agent workflows and natural-language interfaces.
- Build intelligent agents for SQL code conversion and data migration using Java, Go, and LangGraph.
- Develop low-latency search, business-question interfaces, custom AI agents, and generative AI capabilities within SQL.
- Work on evaluation loops, multimodal data processing, security, scalability, and hardware performance optimization.
Requirements
- Active enrollment in an accredited college or university during the internship is required.
- Master's or PhD study level preferred, with a major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math, or a related field.
- Coursework or experience in AI, machine learning, deep learning, federated learning, efficient LLMs, information retrieval, predictive or generative modeling, NLP, differential privacy, cloud computing, or distributed and operating systems.
- Excellent programming skills in Python, Golang, and Java.
- Research or publications in AI, ML, NLP, or computer vision, or major open-source contributions.
- Ability to work as part of a team and dedication to technology.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of PyTorch or CUDA.
- Experience with agentic testing, SQL generation workflows, or hardware performance optimization.
