Scientist II, Production Analytical Chemist (Semiconductor)

Location: Austin, TX; site in Burnet, TX. Onsite, Monday-Friday on 1st shift with flexible start times; some weekend availability is required.

Salary: $85,500-$114,000 per year.

What you will do

• Perform routine and non-routine chemical and physical analyses using ICP-MS, ICP-OES, GC, GC/MS, HPLC, IC, XRF, UV-Vis, NIR, KF, and related analytical instruments.
• Document, process, review, transfer, and present analytical data for production, engineering, and internal or external customer needs.
• Troubleshoot instrument hardware and software issues and maintain laboratory instruments, tools, chemicals, and consumables.
• Support corrective actions, method development and validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain safe chemical handling, sample storage and disposal, laboratory cleanliness, and trace-level data quality.
• Serve as an analytical subject matter expert on cross-functional teams and train personnel on laboratory tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry or a relevant field.
• At least 2 years of experience operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining analytical instrumentation.
• Knowledge of analytical techniques including LC, LC-MS, IC, IC-MS, GC, GC-MS, ICP-MS, and ICP-OES.
• Ability to complete laboratory work safely, accurately, efficiently, independently, and on time.
• Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office; LIMS experience is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, dexterity, eye-hand coordination, attention to detail, and ability to operate laboratory equipment safely.

Nice to have

• Experience with trace metals and cleanroom environments.
• LIMS experience.
