Senior Site Reliability Engineer (AWS/GCP)

Location: Remote in Bogotá, Medellín, Costa Rica, São Paulo, or Lima

What you will do

• Design and implement reliability strategies for distributed systems running across AWS and GCP.
• Define and measure SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and other reliability metrics.
• Build and improve observability capabilities across monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting.
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortem processes.
• Improve system performance, resilience, scalability, capacity planning, and operational readiness with engineering teams.
• Automate operational processes and guide reliability-focused architecture decisions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
• Strong production experience with AWS and/or GCP; strong AWS expertise and at least some GCP exposure are required for the AWS-to-GCP migration.
• Deep knowledge of SRE principles, distributed systems, networking, cloud security, performance optimization, and high-availability production operations.
• Experience operating Kubernetes platforms such as EKS or GKE, plus observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Cloud Monitoring, Datadog, or Splunk.
• Experience with Terraform and scripting or automation using Python, Bash, or comparable languages.
• Experience with cloud migration or modernization, incident management, chaos engineering, Istio, cloud certifications, or Agile, DevOps, and DevSecOps environments is preferred.
