What you will do

  • Oversee, schedule, and perform routine and non-routine analytical testing of raw material samples according to procedures and regulatory guidelines.
  • Review and interpret test results, report unexpected or out-of-specification findings, and lead investigations and troubleshooting.
  • Supervise maintenance, calibration, repair, and preventive maintenance of HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis, TOC, and wet chemistry equipment.
  • Maintain team proficiency with laboratory systems, equipment, and standard operating procedures while coordinating cross-training and backup coverage.
  • Ensure compliant documentation of testing, results, and investigations under cGMP and data integrity requirements.
  • Lead the development, revision, and review of raw material testing SOPs and laboratory documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate degree in Analytical Chemistry or a related science field.
  • 3–4 years of analytical chemistry laboratory experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Hands-on experience with sample preparation and wet chemistry analysis using compendial monograph procedures.
  • Understanding of instrumental analysis procedures and laboratory computer applications.
  • Knowledge of sampling methods and quality control systems.
  • Strong leadership, judgment, attention to detail, and analytical instrumentation skills.

Nice to have

  • HPLC certification.
  • Experience introducing process improvements and developing laboratory capabilities.
