Microbiology Technician (Sterile)

What you will do

• Support sterility testing operations by preparing, handling, aliquoting, storing, and tracking samples.
• Prepare solutions, reagents, and microbiological media with accurate measurements and proper storage.
• Check method suitability and follow cGMP, cGLP, SOP, sterile laboratory, and Biological Safety Cabinet standards.
• Enter, verify, and maintain sample and test data in laboratory information systems using FIFO inventory practices.
• Clean and maintain laboratory equipment, glassware, workspaces, stock rooms, and testing areas.
• Collaborate with microbiologists, Quality Assurance, Client Care, and internal teams to support laboratory workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, or a related science field.
• Basic understanding of microbiological techniques, sterile laboratory protocols, and sample handling.
• Experience with laboratory information systems, data entry, and cGMP or cGLP-regulated laboratories.
• Ability to follow SOPs, safety rules, and instructions precisely while working independently.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, time management, and teamwork skills.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with Biological Safety Cabinets and sterile environments is preferred.
