Senior Accountant (GAAP, D365, SAP ERP)

What you will do

• Prepare general ledger entries, maintain supporting documentation, and reconcile general ledger, sub-ledger, and subsidiary ledger balances.
• Perform month-end close activities, including account reconciliations, financial statement variance analysis, and standard and non-recurring journal entries under US GAAP.
• Research and interpret financial data to answer management inquiries and support accurate reporting.
• Document accounting procedures, recommend stronger controls and process efficiencies, and maintain knowledge of accounting practices and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a D365 and SAP ERP user and resource, informally coach staff accountants, and support the Accounting team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Approximately five years of professional accounting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency with PC software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and collaborative working style.
• Ability to work on-site in Fargo, North Dakota, or Coralville, Iowa.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP systems such as D365 or SAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
