Sr. Engineer - Platform Data Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: USA - Remote. The role requires eligibility for CJIS clearance, including U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status, and periodic background and fingerprint checks.

Base salary: $140,000–$215,000 per year, plus potential bonuses, equity grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Architect, deploy, configure, and administer data platform services, including Airflow and Superset.
• Manage infrastructure-as-code for data platform components with Terraform.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform services and data workflows.
• Implement platform security, access controls, and compliance standards.
• Develop DBT data models and catalog assets in OpenMetadata.
• Write Python automation and data-processing code while mentoring junior engineers and providing technical leadership.

Requirements

• Eligibility for CJIS clearance with U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of combined infrastructure and data engineering experience, including 5+ years of advanced Python programming.
• Expertise in Apache Airflow administration and strong experience with Apache Superset or similar BI platforms.
• Cloud platform experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI, including IAM, networking, and managed services.
• Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes and/or Docker, DBT, OpenMetadata, SQL, data modeling, security, compliance, and AI technologies.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Cybersecurity data experience or contributions to open-source projects.
• Knowledge of machine learning pipelines.
