Data Engineer Intern (AI)

Location: Arlington, Texas, United States; hybrid work with two days per week in the office.

Global provider of automotive financing and commercial lending solutions serving customers and auto dealers across multiple regions.

What you will do

• Debug code, correct errors, and improve application performance.
• Support data and software development initiatives through technical problem-solving and solution creation.
• Participate in peer code reviews and help improve code quality.
• Communicate with team members to troubleshoot issues and understand system operations.
• Review technology releases and project updates while maintaining documentation and project understanding.
• Use AI tools and support AI-assisted development, research, summarization, and workflow automation.

Requirements

• Current student pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Engineering, or Data Engineering, with at least one semester remaining at the internship start.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; junior or senior classification is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, quantitative, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
• One to two years of experience with Java, C++, or Python is preferred.
• One to two years of experience with GitHub, VSA, or SVN is preferred.
• Immigration-related sponsorship is not provided, including H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, and J-1 support.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted software development or automation.
• Knowledge of prompting techniques and awareness of Generative AI capabilities and limitations.
• Previous internship experience.
