Test Engineer (Defense)

Location: Remote within the United States; U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. government security clearance are required. Travel of up to 5% may be required.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and execute test cases covering system functionality, data integrity, and end-to-end business processes.
• Maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Katalon, Eggplant, or equivalent platforms.
• Perform smoke, system, functional, regression, and integrated-system testing across PLM, ERP, and data-exchange interfaces.
• Produce Objective Quality Evidence artifacts supporting DoD certification, accreditation, and acceptance reviews.
• Document and track defects, analyze test results, and coordinate resolution and retesting with development and functional teams.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects while improving regression coverage and testing processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with test automation frameworks, scripting languages, and tools including Selenium, Katalon, Eggplant, Python, XML, or JSON.
• Experience with PLM platforms such as Windchill, Teamcenter, or Enovia, or comparable enterprise systems.
• Strong knowledge of test planning, execution, and documentation aligned with DoD standards, including experience producing OQE artifacts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint, together with strong cross-functional communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the required U.S. national security eligibility.

Nice to have

• Experience with DoD or federal SDLC processes, RMF, ATO, STIG compliance, or DoD documentation standards.
• Exposure to MBSE, MBT, Agile or hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments, Zephyr, TestRail, or qTest.
• Security+ or another DoD 8570-compliant certification.
