TL;DR
Risk & Controls Manager (Risk Management/Compliance): Leading risk, internal controls, audit, and compliance activities for WPP Media Turkey and designated CSEE markets with an accent on control framework implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement. Focus on assessing business risks, coordinating SOX and audit remediation, strengthening financial and operational controls, and advising senior stakeholders across multiple geographies.
Location: Istanbul, Turkey. Hybrid work with teams in the office around four days a week.

What you will do
- Lead the Risk & Controls function for Turkey and support activities across designated CSEE markets.
- Design, implement, and monitor financial, operational, and compliance controls in line with the WPP Internal Control framework.
- Operate quality review and control monitoring programs as a second line of defense.
- Coordinate internal and external audit activities, including SOX and WPP Internal Audit remediation.
- Manage business risk maps, internal control self-certifications, and market Letters of Representation.
- Advise senior stakeholders, deliver ethics and compliance training, and drive continuous improvement through technology and standardized processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5+ years of experience in risk and controls, ethics and compliance, business process improvement, risk management, or internal/external audit.
- Knowledge of IFRS, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and PCAOB requirements.
- Experience assessing business risk and evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control systems.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across geographies and functions.
- Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Excel.
- Fluent or native Turkish and fluent or native English required.
