Forward Deployed Architect (AI)

Location: Remote within North America

Salary: $175,000–$225,000 USD per year, plus meaningful equity.

What you will do

• Run discovery with marketing and data teams to translate business goals into specific customer activation use cases.
• Profile customer data and design target-state schemas, identity matching rules, and activation-ready data models.
• Direct AI agents in profiling warehouses, proposing models, and generating transformations; review and correct their output.
• Define success metrics with customers, calculate results, and communicate outcomes to senior leaders.
• Remain the technical architect after handoff, supporting data model changes, new sources, and identity graph updates.
• Build semantic layers, metric definitions, and business logic while communicating product gaps to product teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as analytics engineering, solutions architecture, forward-deployed engineering, data consulting, or marketing data work.
• Strong SQL fluency and experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
• Understanding of query performance, warehouse cost, data modeling, and data architecture.
• Experience leading complex engagements, discovery, stakeholder alignment, and implementation planning.
• Ability to direct AI agents while critically reviewing generated SQL, models, transformations, and business logic.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; eligibility is verified after hire through E-Verify and is not used for pre-screening.

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt, SQLMesh, or similar transformation tooling and git-native, pull-request-driven workflows.
• Prior experience with identity resolution, customer data platforms, or master data management.
