Backend Developer (PHP and Golang)

Location: Hybrid office role in Limassol, Cyprus; relocation to Cyprus required

What you will do

• Separate complex parts of the platform into Golang microservices.
• Implement event sourcing using Kafka.
• Handle infrastructure and scalability tasks.
• Profile and optimize PHP and Go solutions.
• Develop unit and API tests and improve code coverage.
• Design and evaluate scaling solutions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of PHP development experience; the current project version is PHP 8.3.
• Fluent knowledge of Go and MySQL.
• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
• Understanding of unit and functional testing, with practical experience writing tests.
• Practical experience debugging, profiling, and optimizing PHP and Go code.
• Understanding of data structures, sharding, and replication, including their advantages and limitations.

Nice to have

• Experience with Go, microservices, Kafka, or gRPC.
