Independent Non-Executive Director (Web3)

Location: Remote, but candidates must be legal residents of the United Arab Emirates; Dubai preferred.

Target fee: up to USD 10,000 per annum, payable quarterly or monthly in arrears.

What you will do

• Provide independent and objective oversight of strategy, performance, risk management, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
• Review board materials and participate in board, committee, and general meetings.
• Contribute to governance decisions and regional oversight for hirify.global MENA.
• Execute corporate and regulatory declarations required under UAE law and VARA frameworks.
• Maintain the company’s fit and proper standing and remain available for ad hoc regulatory discussions.

Requirements

• Legal residency in the UAE is required; Dubai residency is preferred.
• Prior experience serving in a similar director or governance role.
• Strong knowledge of UAE financial regulations, local corporate law, and VARA requirements for Virtual Asset Service Providers.
• Ability to meet VARA fit and proper requirements, with no relevant history of fraud, dishonesty, criminal offenses, bankruptcy, material contract breaches, fiduciary non-observance, or regulatory disqualification.
• Full disclosure of conflicts of interest and strict compliance with data protection, confidentiality, and anti-corruption policies.
