Firmware Engineering Intern

Location: On-site in Auckland, New Zealand. Full-time, 40 hours per week, from mid-to-late November 2026 through February 2027.

What you will do

• Contribute to firmware and tooling development from concept through production deployment in the live fleet.
• Design, implement, and deliver firmware features and performance improvements.
• Identify, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Improve quality and testing systems.
• Monitor fleet performance and enhance monitoring platforms.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in the penultimate or final year of a Software Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar degree, or have recently graduated.
• Enjoy solving challenging technical problems and investigating issues in depth.
• Be able to combine self-directed learning with seeking guidance from experienced teammates.
• Be a strong team player who contributes to team performance and gives and receives feedback.
• Be available for an on-site, full-time internship in Auckland from mid-to-late November 2026 through February 2027.
