What you will do

• Lead federal government relations supporting Seaglider certification, regulation, and operations.
• Build and strengthen relationships across Congress, the executive branch, DHS, the U.S. Coast Guard, DOT, FAA, and other relevant agencies.
• Engage in federal authorization, appropriations, and transportation funding processes to advance certification and operational priorities.
• Translate complex Seaglider technology into clear policy narratives and build support among customers, industry partners, trade associations, and other stakeholders.
• Advise senior leadership on government engagement strategy, political considerations, and high-stakes meetings.
• Partner with Business Development, Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Legal, and leadership to connect government relations with company strategy and regulatory priorities.

Requirements

• Current, credible relationships on Capitol Hill and across relevant transportation agencies.
• Direct experience with DHS, the U.S. Coast Guard, DOT, FAA, or other federal agencies on regulatory or policy matters.
• Strong understanding of federal authorization and appropriations processes, including FAA reauthorization, Coast Guard authorization, and transportation appropriations.
• Experience advocating for emerging technologies or industries that do not fit established policy frameworks.
• Strong political judgment and the ability to advise senior leaders on government engagement.
• Creative, collaborative, adaptable, and innovative approach to complex policy and stakeholder challenges.
