Senior HR Manager (Europe)

Location: Based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, with periodic travel to Lisbon, Portugal

Base salary: €136,400–€153,450 per year, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Serve as the primary HR contact and escalation point for employees and managers in Amsterdam and Lisbon.
• Lead manager coaching, performance management, talent processes, organizational changes, and employee relations.
• Adapt and localize global HR programs, processes, and governance for European employment requirements.
• Own regional compliance areas, including pay transparency reporting and immigration or work authorization processes for non-EU hires.
• Partner with centralized People functions, external immigration specialists, and local counsel.
• Develop and execute the regional People strategy as the European workforce evolves.

Requirements

• 8+ years of HR experience with strong, current Dutch employment practices expertise.
• Experience supporting employees across multiple European jurisdictions, including working knowledge of Portuguese employment practices.
• Strong HR business-partnering skills covering manager coaching, performance management, organizational design, and employee relations.
• Experience in a US-headquartered or global technology company and in establishing HR operations in a new country or entity.
• Fluent English and professional Dutch proficiency are required.
• Ability to travel to Lisbon periodically, up to one week per month during initial ramp-up.
