Associate Security Consultant (NetSPI University) (Cybersecurity)

Location: US or remote; onsite in Portland, Oregon starting in January 2027

What you will do

• Complete the web application penetration testing training curriculum.
• Learn to articulate, document, and exploit common web application vulnerabilities.
• Use hirify.global testing tools and processes under senior colleague support and oversight.
• Execute web application penetration tests after completing the training program.
• Create and deliver penetration test reports and collaborate with clients on remediation strategies.
• Research and develop penetration testing techniques, tools, methodologies, and technical content.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline, completed within six months of the start date.
• Previous IT or IT security internship experience.
• Familiarity with offensive toolkits, common web application vulnerabilities, remediations, Windows, Linux, and basic system administration.
• Native-level English communication and writing skills required.
• Self-motivation, initiative, curiosity, creative problem-solving, and effective communication.

Nice to have

• Programming experience with Ruby, Python, Perl, C, C++, Java, or C#.
• Previous IT, cybersecurity, or penetration testing experience.
• Knowledge of network protocols and network design.
