Red Team Manager (Cybersecurity)

Location: USA - Remote. Occasional travel may be required, less than 25%.

Base salary: $140,000–$195,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants, health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

A cybersecurity company developing an AI-native platform to protect organizations, process large-scale security telemetry, and stop breaches.

What you will do

• Lead the design, implementation, delivery, reporting, and measurement of red team offerings.
• Manage daily red team operations and coordinate penetration testing activities.
• Organize resources for assessments of operating systems, applications, databases, networks, and infrastructure components.
• Develop management and technical reports with mitigation strategies and performance metrics.
• Build relationships with third-party vendors and collaborate with Sales to scope customer engagements.
• Manage and mentor red team members, support information security programs, and provide specialized guidance during enterprise-wide crisis scenarios.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in red team or penetration testing activities.
• At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
• Advanced experience with security assessment tools such as Metasploit, Nmap, Cobalt Strike, Nessus, and Burp Suite.
• Advanced experience in vulnerability testing, penetration testing, adversary emulation, automation, scripting, and operational support.
• Comprehensive knowledge of security methodologies, operating systems, networking components, firewalls, proxies, mail servers, and web servers.
• Experience managing a tool development lifecycle and development team, plus the ability to communicate with executive and technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Participation in the security community as a conference speaker or tool development contributor.
• OSCP, GPEN, OSCE, GCIH, or GXPN certification.
