IoT NTN Test Engineer

Location: Based in Barcelona with a hybrid work model; occasional travel abroad to partner and pilot sites is required.

Sateliot is a Barcelona-based satellite company developing a satellite constellation that enables standard commercial devices to communicate directly from space.

What you will do

• Provide hands-on technical support to VAS partners integrating IoT NTN technology in laboratories and field deployments.
• Assist with device setup, testing, troubleshooting, validation, and onboarding.
• Guide partners in using test environments, network access, and communication-module configurations.
• Collect, analyze, and report test results to assess system behavior and service performance.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams to resolve integration issues and improve partner support.
• Document and continuously improve technical support processes for VAS integration.

Requirements

• Degree in Telecommunications or Electronics Engineering.
• Experience with IoT communication modules such as Nordic, Quectel, or u-blox, including AT Commands.
• Knowledge of IP networking, including TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, and VPN.
• Experience in telecom laboratory environments and with device setup, testing, and validation.
• Ability to analyze modem logs, Wireshark traces, and device outputs; basic Linux skills are required.
• Professional working proficiency in written and spoken English is required.

Nice to have

• Basic Python or Bash scripting skills for automation or data processing.
• Knowledge of NB-IoT, LTE-M, 3GPP NTN, and LEO technologies.
• Experience with spectrum analyzers, network simulators, or protocol analyzers.
• Additional language skills.
