TL;DR
Associate Quality Engineer (Medtech): Supporting complaint investigations, product inspections, quality documentation, testing, and vendor qualification for medical products with an accent on regulatory compliance, corrective actions, and product quality standards. Location: Arlington Heights, Illinois, United States; onsite role with up to 10% travel

Salary: $67,000–$101,000 annually, plus bonus and/or incentive eligibility

What you will do

  • Investigate customer and sales force complaints, document findings, and close cases within appropriate timelines.
  • Issue replacements, credits, or RGAs and communicate investigation results to customers and sales representatives.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly complaint trend reports and coordinate stock checks and product rework.
  • Initiate and follow up on manufacturing and supplier corrective actions to prevent recurring complaints.
  • Coordinate or perform inspections of new products and products from new vendors at branches and factories.
  • Build and maintain Device Master Records, inspection procedures, and documentation supporting Design Control and Risk Management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Math, or a related technical field.
  • Ability to process and prioritize detailed information and draw clear, concise conclusions.
  • Time management skills to organize and track multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Problem-solving ability using mathematical or systematic approaches.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work onsite in Arlington Heights, Illinois and travel up to 10%.
