Navigation Solution Architect (AI Robotics and Navigation)

Location: Remote-based within EMEA, with significant travel to customer sites in excess of 30%. The portfolio covers the UK, NATO, and wider European markets.

What you will do

• Translate customer performance requirements into navigation system architectures and hardware/software configurations.
• Lead solution design, architectural validation, and proof-of-concept projects for customer mission profiles.
• Act as the primary technical authority for EMEA sales teams and advise customers on systems integration and performance optimisation.
• Provide technical direction to Forward Deployed Engineers and mentorship to the wider Application Engineering team.
• Run technical workshops and deep-dive sessions for strategic customers.
• Feed regional market requirements and customer insights into the global product development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, preferably a master's degree, or 10+ years of relevant experience.
• 10+ years of experience in highly technical, customer-facing roles involving technical embedment or forward-deployed engineering.
• Expert knowledge of inertial navigation systems, GNSS, fibre optic gyroscopes, and Laser and Acoustic Velocity aiding.
• Experience spanning engineering and commercial disciplines, including sales, software, electrical, mechanical, and mechatronics engineering.
• Experience with UK MOD, NATO, or wider European defence procurement, export controls, configuration and data management, and multi-year programmes.
• Experience with Python for data analysis, strong communication and presentation skills, and willingness to travel in excess of 30%.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of U.S. ITAR/EAR requirements.
• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Coding experience beyond Python for data analysis.
