Head of Compliance (EU Digital Regulation)

Location: Fully remote, with locations listed in Prague, Czech Republic; Bratislava, Slovakia; Budapest, Hungary; and Sofia, Bulgaria. Remote or hybrid working arrangements are available.

What you will do

• Build and lead the central compliance function within group legal.
• Lead privacy counsel, AI counsel, and compliance risk-monitoring and assurance specialists.
• Own the group compliance agenda for GDPR, the AI Act, the Data Act, DORA, NIS2, and centrally coordinated DSA standards.
• Translate regulatory obligations into operational changes, policies, playbooks, self-service templates, and automation.
• Run continuous regulatory watch, risk monitoring, assurance, adoption tracking, and KPI reporting.
• Partner with divisional General Counsels, senior leadership, the Legal Hub, and the Sustainability Director to embed compliance across the business.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with proven senior-level management experience.
• Experience in an internal, operational compliance role, preferably in a non-financial first-line advisory environment.
• Knowledge of GDPR, the AI Act, the Data Act, DSA, DORA, and NIS2.
• Strong operational technology literacy is required, including comfort with risk-based, self-service, and automation-first ways of working.
• Ability to lead a broad compliance agenda across an international, multi-jurisdictional, decentralised group.
• Fluent English is required; additional European languages are advantageous.
