Operations Specialist - Trade Settlements (Federal Reserve)

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey, United States; onsite role

Salary: $50,000–$60,000 annual base salary in New Jersey, plus annual target bonus

What you will do

• Process deliver and receive orders for US Government and Federal agency mortgage-backed securities settling through the Federal Reserve.
• Verify trade information, including account numbers, quantities, and CUSIPs, against client broker presentations in the Sonic system.
• Manage daily transaction volumes and meet settlement deadlines.
• Review and resolve discrepancies such as Federal Reserve reclaims, escalating issues when appropriate.
• Communicate with internal and external clients and counterparties by email and phone to resolve issues and minimize risk.
• Contribute to management reporting and division or firm-wide process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrated PC skills.
• Ability to identify, escalate, and resolve problems.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time-management, organizational, and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team environment, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure.
