Weekend Registered Nurse-CVICU Part Time Nights

Location: Palos Heights, Illinois, United States; onsite night shifts

Salary: USD 34.50–55.20 per hour

What you will do

• Provide individualized, age-specific nursing care for assigned CVICU patients from admission through discharge.
• Assess patient status, identify care needs and urgent problems, and maintain accurate health records.
• Develop, document and continuously update individualized plans of care and discharge plans.
• Provide evidence-based patient and family education and document interventions and responses.
• Collaborate with patients, families and multidisciplinary healthcare teams on care planning and patient progress.
• Make appropriate referrals and support continuity of care.

Requirements

• BSN required, or ADN with a commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.
• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical and collaboration skills.
• Ability to apply evidence-based nursing standards and principles of age-specific care.
• External ADN candidates are not currently being considered for RN openings at Palos Hospital.

Nice to have

• Experience in the specific clinical area.
• Additional certifications may be required for emergency room, pediatric emergency room or non-invasive cardiology assignments.
